Supers in History

When the need is great, the supers will appear. At most major points in human history supers have appeared. It is a slow trickle at first and then becomes a larger deluge. But when the event passes, the supers powers diminish and they start to fade away. That's not to say that all the supers just go away; one of the great freedom fighters in France also fought in the French revolution.

While I don't have everything worked out yet, I know that the supers came during the Renaissance, the American and French Revolutions and the World Wars (though more in II). The supers again began to appear in 1999...

While there have been supers in history, they have been on both sides. As such, history is still basically the same (though detail have been altered). If anyone is feeling creative, feel free to flesh this out.
