Power level

You are starting at power level 5. Yes you are on the low end of super, but even with only 75 points, believe you me, you can tweak out your characters.

Att/Def Trade-Offs

To avoid extreme tweaking out with this rule, there is a maximum of 2 points you can trade-off. This will increase as the power level goes up (you will be able to have 4 at level 10, but I'm not sure if 3 will be at level 7 or 8 yet). Also this is a personal max for your character... so you can't do any funny business like so you can't have a power that increases your toughness to 7 and then an alternate that increase your defense to 7, because you've just broken one of your personal maxes.

For those of you who are lost, with your attack you can either be balanced or be more accurate than damaging (say Batman) or more damaging that accurate (the Hulk). With defense you can either be balanced or be better at avoiding damage than taking it (Nightcrawler) or be better at taking damage than avoiding it (Superman).

Concept

Background

You all start out as "normal" people. You have a job (or go to school, or something else kinda normal). You may have super powers, but have probably kept them rather low key thus far (as otherwise that would cause undue attention). If you want you can start with powers that haven't manifested until after the "incident" (which is completely workable). You might not have "powers", but you can develop them after the game starts. I am flexible if really want something out of the norm.

Okay, so you really want to start your character as a super hero. That is okay, but you're only a local hero (you can only hope to be in the last 5 minutes of a local news report up to now). You probably have to keep a day job so that you pay the bills (and for any toys you have). You've also only done minor things (saved a kid from a tree or stopped a liquor store robbery).

20 Questions

I will have a wonderfully fun game of 20 questions to play with your character, but not now.

Origin

There are two restrictions on the origin of your powers; you cannot be a divine being (Thor) or an alien (Superman). Also you cannot have direct contact with a divine being (brought up to Mt. Olympus) or an alien (Green Lantern). You can have indirect contact; like a dream or vision, a dark ritual that gave you super powers or you found an alien device in a field.
