Vadin finds a Conerian contact (or contacts, as they are twins) named Palom and Purim. They mention the Order of the Crescent Moon, located in Po Fei. This order is a merc-for-hire guild, specializing in assassination, robbery, and general thuggery. They have supposedly recovered an artifact for themselves, not for hire. It's unknown what this is for, although it is shaped exactly like an obsidian pendant.

We are traveling to Po Fei to search out the Crescent Moon. While the party is traveling, Ettyneen uses teleport/scrying to travel back to Coneria and receive several small charms that reduce weight, with the help of Zhelad.

We arrive in Po Fei. Vadin is approached by a Conerian contact, and Gemma follows for protection purposes. They fade into an alley to speak in private, while the rest of us guard the entrance to the alley. The contact mentions that we are expected, and a certain someone in a tavern down the way wishes to speak with us. We meet with Slish (some of us in disguise: Greshona as a hawk, Tauron as a wolf, and Kovar with invisibility). Slish shows us a sword that supposedly comes from Marilith (object loresight confirms it's roughly the correct age, etc). Slish informs us that since Marileth is "dead", we have no reason to acquire her pendant and should buzz off. The verrik leaves a few gold on the table pay for our time; Ettyneen picks one of these pieces up for scrying purposes.
Later that evening, the party eavesdrops on a very short conversation between Slish and his employer, in almost complete darkness. Slish reveals that "the task is complete" before his employer notices the scrying attempt and moves the conversation elsewhere. Ettyneen also attempts to farsee Marilith to confirm Slish's story: she sees two versions of Marilith overlayed in her sight. One is prone, unmoving, in a field and missing a sword. The other is in a dungeon chained to a wall, wearing a porcelain mask, like the dramojh the party has already come across.
