Session 28
From AngilleWiki
Stuff that came up in session that gave details to stuff that happened earlier in time:
- The names of everyone's Earldoms were cemented.
- Vadin's sword crafted the week of Hephaestus!
- The King married Cyrista the Week of Hestia. Formal clothes purchased for whole party.

Kovar, Vadin & Ettyneen receive formal invitations from the king to attend court.
Ettyneen teleports to the north to retrieve Greshona, Tauron and Gemma from Tauron's forest.
6:1:9:Erebus:III
Sultan Brashir and Sultana Jakeel of the Sibeccai are presented at court. The have arrived to ask for help. He has only been Sultan for three weeks (indicating that he rose to power the week of 6:1:9:Hephaestus). His father and mother were killed by the goddess and fire and death, Marilith. Usually she lives inside the volcano Mount Gulg to the east. She has come down off her mountain and is raiding villages. They have come to request the assistance of a legendary Sibeccai, Tauron! Tauron is introduced grandly and offers the heroes' services.
An effort is made to gather all the research data available!
6:1:9:Erebus:V
Set sail on the Seacat towards the port city of Golitna, Sibecca. While en route, Kovar attempts to commune with Hephaestus (reading oil stains on the armor like tea leaves in a cup!). Kovar relates to us that Hephaestus does not feel that this Marilith is a "goddess". Research into the history of Marilith reveals that she has attacked Sibecca before but it is a very rare occurance and it is limited to a small number of people. She has 6 arms and uses 6 flaming scimitars. She has a body similar to a Naga. There is no apparent pattern to when she makes her appearances.
6:1:9:Dionysus:VII
We land at Golitna. Three days before the onset of Darkweek. It is going to be cold traveling across the desert. Cold weather clothing is purchased.
6:1:9:Hades:III
We arrive at Misrata, Sibecca. Inquires at the library turn up only a few religious texts. Inquiries at the mosque to the Imam turn up some old scriptures that describe the first visual encounters with Marilith. She was first seen when the Sibeccai moved here (pre-Bladisch!). In the past, her targets were people who apparently deserved it. Her volcano is more active when she is out wandering the countryside rather than living in the volcano.
Gemma notes that in Verrik mythology there is a similar figure with a different name and MO. Historically anybody that has been killed by the fire Naga has been considered an honorable suicide in Verrik lands.
6:1:9:Hades:VII
We gather supplies, camels, and people. We escort 10 refugees (plus friends and family) from Misrata back to their burned out village of Setif. Along the way, Vadin and Tauron question the people on their town history and the specifics of the naga attack. Summary:
- This particular town had never before been attacked.
- During the attack, Marilith screamed "Where is it? It's mine!" repeatedly.
- No one other than the standard caravans had been to town.
It is decided that we'll use Ettyneen's teleport to go back to Misrata and look for references to "it", then teleport back to Setif. From here, it is possible to camel/teleport to Nan Bian in Fa Lan Xi for more information about Marilith.
Random thought: Marilith killed all the people in a village, but hurt no structures. It is possible that "it" refers to a person (or an aspect of a person) rather than an object.
