... Andrea manages to recover enough from the nauseate attack to do something before anyone else. She speeds towards Rutger, who backs off and draws a gun! Sammy disappears just as several thugs advance with their own pistols. Raf crawls out of the spinning area, as O'Malley tries unsuccessfully to flash-bang one of the thugs, by flashing his own retinas. Andrea picks up a lucky pipe from the ground, using it to smack one of the pistol-wielding thugs, who falls unconscious.
Rutger fires at Andrea, hitting her shoulder. Sammy appears behind Rutger and attempts to take his air away - Rutger manages to find enough air to breathe however. The thugs fire (and hit) O'Malley but miss the incorporeal Sammy. The forklift sitting in the corner fires up, but doesn't go anywhere.
O'Malley apparently has had too much (ya know, being shot) and turns into a shadowy demony form, transferring the dark fire into demony death for the punk who hit him, who flies backwards into a pile of crates! The crates start to billow forth a white dusty substance. Rutger backs away behind the mysteriously animated forklift, firing off another swirly, but ineffective blast. Seeing the ineffectiveness, he starts swearing in German.
Sammy rushes Rutger, somehow tripping over... nothing? to end up prone behind him. One of the thugs gets very scared at the fresh demon-thing and fires his clip at it, missing. Another knocks over a crate, spreading more of the white powder around the warehouse. Raf moves towards Rutger and Sammy, and the forklift starts spinning in circles, making Rutger jump back. The demon formerly known as O'Malley soars over to Rutger and becomes so scary that Rutger stutters some more German curses. Andrea stumbles over to one of the thugs.
Rutger is scared and confused by demons, ghosts, and animated forklifts, and takes off north, taking a shot at the demon-thing. The bullet gets absorbed by the dark powers, never to be seen again. Sammy takes off in pursuit, actually managing to steal his air this time, causing Rutger to gasp pathetically.
The thugs fire at the demon and the ghost, to no avail. In the background, the forklift continues to spin. Shadowy shackles sprout up around Rutger, but don't seem to snatch him. Andrea's pipe then hits some kind of metal object on a mook, causing no harm. Rutger's attempt to distract Sammy fails, as Sammy continues to steal Rutger's air. The thugs continue to shoot like stormtroopers, or run away like ninnies. And the forklift... appears to be a confused dog looking for a good place to lie down.
O'Malley's demon fires a black shadowy blast at the thug near Andrea and Raf, taking him out, as he soars just north of Rutger. Rutger phases out of space-time, leaving confused people behind, and only one still running away mook. The same dark shackles from earlier also fail to catch the guy, but Andrea's thrown pipe manages to, leaving two unconscious followers of Rutger. After the last mook falls, the demon turns back into O'Malley, prompting Sammy to tell him, "You're a scary fuckin' guy. May I never piss you off."
A quick check of the crates reveals baggies amidst the white powder, which O'Malley is happy to take a peek at. The rest of the group examines the office, dragging the unconscious bodies into it. Sammy serendipitously notices a hatch in the corner of the floor in the office, in addition to a cell phone, a largish manila envelope, and a standard USPS shipping box. The box is addressed to "Distortion" and the envelope is addressed to Rutger Saltzman, yet both have the same address. The return addy for the box is a POB, and the envelope is from PGI. In the envelope is information about a pyrotechnics convention, specifically for someone participating in the displays.
Meanwhile, out in the warehouse with the crates, O'Malley sees a small pipe with wires extruding from it, duct-taped to the floor. He proceeds to not touch it. A quick examination of the baggies reveals that it might or might not be cocaine. A quick call out to the others gets Raf and Andrea over.
In the office, Sammy finds that the trapdoor appears to go to a bomb shelter. Outside, Raf and Andrea identify the pipe as part of a pyrotechnics display, and find a multitude all over the floor, all connected. After hearing a couple of clicks, O'Malley yells, "Get in the shelter!" and the group runs in, immediately after Sammy grabs the hostages and scrambles downstairs, just as the pipes ignite the flour, creating a huge explosion.
