The Editorial Version
Almost 1000 years ago (nobody's exactly sure when), the mage Bladisch enchanted a sword to aid Zherice in his plan to rule the world(like Pinky & the Brain ...with swords & evil gods instead of cute little white mice). Interpreting words later confirmed by Dr. Unne but first spoken by Bhareg, the reeeeeally ooooold priest of Strife [(who cursed the self-same Zherice-wielded blade with the unholy powers of Strife 1000 years ago (see how old this guy is?)], Bladisch is bigger and scarier than Bhareg "The Death Monster". This is not surprising as 1000+ year-old priests don't tend to be nearly as creepy or powerful as 1000+year-old entropy worshipping mages. In fact, most 1000+ year-old priests tend to be....dusty. Our heroes can expect mayhem, madness, entropy, another porcelain mask, and probably....dust.
