Astos stole the Eye of Narissa from the Ferwilfe vaults in C:6:0:9, blinding Matoya in the process. Over a decade later, the Light Warriors defeated him under the abandoned, flooded city of Sumvannon.

Astos the First
Also of note is the fact that the king of the Alabast when they first arrived on Aerethon was named Astos. He was entombed deep under the palace at Sumvannon. At some point, his crown was stolen and an exact but unmagical replica placed in his sarcophagus instead. Because of this heinous act, Astos became a mummy, doomed to wait until his crown was returned. The Light Warriors recovered it from the shape-shifting sorcerer Mertus, and returned it to the mummy ending his undeath.
